T'was the Night Before Christmas (Lolita Meet-up)

Hi Everyone!!

I hope every one is enjoying there weekend. :D It has been a great weekend for me because my boyfriend took me to this awesome lolita meet up that Oli, Amber, and Tani has set up. There were so many lolitas that were beautifully dressed. *__* I was so impressed.  I had such a lovely time and I hope that all the people who went to the meet up had fun too.

The meet up consisted a swap meet/  boutique, which I participated in. I have some new products for my shop, Kawaii Carnival at the meet. (I will post pictures of my new products soon.) ^^ Most of at the boutique were doing some major shopping. There were so many cute items that I wanted to buy, which were just killing me. Anyways, after everyone did their morning shopping, we headed towards the main event which was the tea party. Each table was nicely decorated with Christmas motifs, which I just adore; and each seat was presented with a plate of food. On the plate we had a scone, two tea cakes, a piece cumber sandwich, a piece of a chicken salad sandwich, and a mini chocolate cupcake. The drinks that were served were water with sliced of cumber for taste, and tea. There were also different music that was playing, some of them set the mood and some were a little dark or hard core. I think some of the music was a little hard core because this meet up was also celebrating Halloween as well.

During the tea party, there were prizes that were given away to the first 30 people who arrived early. There was also a contest for three people who were best dressed for the event. One of my friends, Angela, won for best dressed as a Christmas theme. She was really adorable in her outfit. After that we had a  Secret Santa exchange for all those who brought gifts. I didn't bring any because I didn't have time. ;3; Then there was a bingo game that came right after. My boyfriend was so cute ,he teamed up with  Ariane's husband  and they had two and three bingo cards, and they still lost every game. lolz. In the end of the games, it consisted of four winner. I lost each time.;__; It was fun any who. :D When the tea party was over we went back to the boutique  and did some more shopping. lolz. When the clock stroke five, all the venders had to pack up and everyone had to leave, and we said our good byes and await for the next meet up. ^0^

I wish I have gotten more pictures taken, but I was so preoccupied. I feel so bad. Here are also some pictures that my boyfriend took:

Lolita Inspirations/Origins

   

Hi Everyone!

Have you ever had some body or some thing that inspired you? I was looking back in how I got into lolita, and how I came to love this fashion so much.

I think  my inspiration went as far back as when I was probably five years old. I have always been intrigued with pretty frilly things. I really loved the dresses that princesses would wear, even though I had no interest in wanting to become a princess myself. If I had to pick something out from my childhood inspiration it would be; Barbie and Care Bears  which has played a big factor in my obsession with Over the top (OTT) lolita style.Barbie always wore the best dress and she was always wearing my favorite color, pink.

During my rebellious years dressing as a goth in  high school is when I found out about the famous Mana from "Malice Mizer" or his current band "Moi dix Moite." I honestly thought he was a girl, until one day one of my friends told me he is a guy. I have to admit I was shocked to death because he makes such a pretty girl. Anyways, when I found out about him is when I really got into lolita. I tried to find some authentic lolita dresses, but at the time it was really hard to obtain because one, lolita wasn't that popular in the US and two, I didn't know where to get actual lolita items. lolz. So, I guess you can say that I started off as an ita. haha *We all had to start some where."

When I got into college I met girls who really knew about the fashion and where to get them. I met a girl by the name of  Anya, who told me all about Angelic Pretty (AP). This brought back my love for super cute and colorful thing. *__* We all know where Angelic Pretty is made out of, which is pastel vomit with tons of sugar rush. What really got me into wear actual lolita, instead of being an ita is; the previous model for AP, Amo. I know she has a full team of crazy make-up artist and photographers that make her look fabulous.Regardless, she is still adorable.

Now, I am inspired by alot of people and things. I really enjoy lolita fashion so much. Through out the years, lolita has expanded to a broader spectrum making it very versatile. These are the people and things that inspired me in this fashion.

Happy Late Easter & Four Year Anniversary

Hey everyone!

Yesterday was Easter, which is the day that Jesus resurrected!! ^^ I hope everyone had fun with their family and loved ones. :D I was stuck at home trying to get some homework done. : /

Anyway, today  is my four year anniversary with my boyfriend! I love him so much!!! <3 <3 <3

Valentine's day, lolita meet- up, long past...

HuMmmm, I didn't do much on Valnetine's day because my bf and I were stuck at school, slaving away. *cries* The upside of that say was that my bf did take me out to dinner though, and he gave me a card. <3  He made me feel really special. He is such a sweetheart! X3

Not too long ago, there was also a Valentine's meet up on Feb. 20, which I missed. I was sad, but last Friday someone who went to the meet- up gave me a V- day's card from Sara, even though I wasn't there. ;__; Thank you, Sara!! I am so happy to have her as a friend. I even put near Dale, one of my favorite plushies given to me by my bf. :3

Sweet Gifts

Hi Everyone!

This is my multiple attempts in making this blog. lolz. I just could not figure out the functions till now. This blog is mostly about my daily life or the I stuff buy. Everything will be random.

*This was during Christmas 2010*

Christmas was ok. It really didn't feel like Christmas at all this year. The Christmas Tree Lane in Lomita isn't as decorated as the previous years that I have went. It's like the economy sucked the life out everyone, and everyone went really cheap this year. I understand that this year people just don't have that much money to the unemployment rate is over 12%. *cries* Well, at least I got to spend time with my sweetheart. He took me out to the movies, and we watched, "Little Fockers." I thought it was really enjoyable. It made me laugh so hard on some parts. Then my bf took me to lunch and we had Chinese buffet. We never went there, I just spoted it on our way to the Indian restaurant. I thought it would be interesting to try it out. it ended up to be ok. It's not the best, but I least I was with my bf. ^0^  Oh, I also had time to open my gifts from Christmas since my bf was with his family and he didn't have time to see me. Here are my gifts:
